The National Science Teachers Association held its annual conference in Los Angeles this year. We had the honor of attending and learning valuable information for Bioscope. There were many exhibits to see and presentations to experience. In particular, we were interested in the biology teacher’s presentation where the focus was microscopes for students phones. Led by a pioneering teacher, we learned how this niche industry works in real life applications and that helped mold the current Bioscope model. From this presentation we set out to make something that had never been done before, a database for cells that incorporates machine learning. We hope to have Bioscope developed and in full production by next year.
